Bonesaw (Chinese: 摇滚幽灵, romanized as Yáogǔn yōulíng, meaning Rock Ghost) was a robot from Beavercreek, Ohio in the United States of America, which competed in the one-off series This is Fighting Robots.

Entered by Team Moebius - famous for their appearances on US show BattleBots - it was initially selected by Sa Beining to provisionally join the Yellow team, only to be dropped in favor of Shrederator Tiger Claw near the end of the opening selection process. As a result, it fought in the opening group battle of the series in order to impress the celebrity team managers and get itself selected in this fashion. However, Bonesaw's campaign was cut short upon being flipped over by a ram from Weber, which resulted in it becoming the first robot to be knocked out of the series.

Bonesaw was a black and light gray, angled box-shaped robot with two exposed wheels at the rear, each highlighted by bright green tires, along with a total of six drive wheels mounted internally. It was armed with a huge diagonally-mounted bar spinner - itself made out of CNC-milled materials and protecting the entire top half of the robot while spinning. Other design features included a static rear plough assembly, along with a small green flame decal on the front-left corner of the top panel. Despite its potentially powerful weapon, Bonesaw had no method of self-righting which contributed to its downfall.

Bonesaw was initially selected by Sa Beining during the opening 'blind selection' phase, but its place was soon threatened by Beining opting to pick Shrederator Tiger Claw at a later stage. Following a diplomatic exchange between Beining and builder Michael Macht, the robot was removed from the Yellow team, with Macht remaining silent after the decision was reached, and reacting afterwards in jest.

"You're so stupid! Why would you not choose me? He picked poor robots. I'm the best robot there."

This change required Bonesaw to fight in a four-way group battle, in order to prove its capabilities to and convince any of the team managers to select it for the main competition. This occurred in the very first match of the series, where the Team Moebius machine fought Green Agate, Mr Hippo and Weber.[1]

Bonesaw immediately attempted to spin its bar up to speed, but destabilized, and made contact with the floor, with Green Agate also slamming into it. Weber and Bonesaw then made weapon-to-weapon contact, and Bonesaw was thrown over, unable to self-right and thus immobilized, before any celebrity even had the chance to pick the American machine for their team roster. The robot remained in one place for the remainder of the bout, with Green Agate hovering in its general area. Ultimately, Bonesaw was eliminated at this stage due to its early knockout.

Team Moebius are named after their middleweight, and later heavyweight shell spinner Moebius, which competed in Battlebots Season 4.0, & 5.0 as a middleweight, and ABC Season 2 as a heavyweight where it performed to mixed results. It reached the Round of 64 in Season 5.0, but failed to progress past its first battle in 4.0, and ABC Season 2, where in the latter, it lost to Brutus after releasing its internals due to damage sustained in transportation.

Team Moebius also built an Antweight called MowBee which competed in the BattleBots Season 5.0 BattleAnts event, but lost in the first round due to technical issues.
