Conker 3 is a British featherweight robot entered by Team Eventorizon (alternatively known as Team Conker), which competed in the 2018 King of Bots UK International Championships. Driven by Alex Botwright, and a former championship-winning competitor in live events, it endured a limited run of success, being forced to forfeit its first qualification round – against Apex and The Mighty Unicorn - after not being able to be completed in time. A partially-finished Conker 3 entered the arena for its second battle against Get Shrekt and Luna-Tic, only to finish runner-up to the former after deliberately driving itself into the pit. Finally, it achieved a knockout victory in its third and last qualification round, throwing Legion out of the arena with a powerful blow from its eggbeater spinner. This, however, was not enough to prevent Conker 3 from being eliminated in the qualification rounds, as a result of the issues it faced in its earlier battles.

In addition to the main UK International Championship, Conker 3 also fought a Tag Team battle alongside Forge Master. However, both would ultimately lose the battle to Cobalt and Pendulum on a Judges’ decision.

Design[]

Conker 3 was a four-wheel drive robot with a reverse wedge-shaped profile and a silver and black color scheme. Its weapon was a powerful front-mounted eggbeater spinner, incorporating three asymmetrical teeth, which proved capable of damaging and throwing opponents at great distances, even out of the arena.

Outside King of Bots[]

At least three incarnations of Conker have been built by Team Eventorizon, with the original version and Conker 2 being equipped with vertical flywheels. Each has made regular appearances at live events throughout the United Kingdom, with Conker 3 winning the Insomnia 58 featherweight event in 2016.[1] Conker 3 remains in active combat as of late 2018, its most recent appearance being at the Robodojo Featherweight Open.[2]
