Drought War Tiger

洪荒战虎 (Romanized as hóng huāng zhàn hŭ and translated as Drought War Tiger) (also translated as Prehistoric Tiger or Wild War Tiger) was a Heavyweight robot from Hubei that competed in the first season of King of Bots. It lost its only battle in Season 1 to Wild Beast. Drought War Tiger was succeeded by White Tiger Guardian.

DesignEdit

As its name suggested, Drought War Tiger was a white and gold, four-wheel drive robot with a design resembling that of a mechanical tiger - complete with head. Its main weapon was a gold drum-like spinner with three toothed discs, while the robot itself also featured a rear wedge.

Robot HistoryEdit

King of Bots (Season 1)Edit

In the first round, Drought War Tiger faced Wild Beast. The battle started tentatively with Wild Beast sending its drone out to attack, but Drought War Tiger downed the drone, sending it onto its back. Wild Beast steered around to the sides of Drought War Tiger, denting the back right corner and slightly tearing one of the back tire. Drought War Tiger turns and smashes its drum against the front of Wild Beast but was jolted upwards a few times before another smash broke Drought War Tiger's drum, removing the teeth to render it useless.

Wild Beast ripped away the sides of the drum of Drought War Tiger, as well as ripping away the head and front panels. Wild Beast's attacks sent Drought War Tiger upwards, as it came in and attacked the sides, managing to drive under and carry the heavily damaged machine. Wild Beast ripped away parts from the underbelly of Drought War Tiger, one of which was a drive belt. Drought War Tiger backed away slowly to the edge of the arena where it drove over one of the floor flippers. This flipped Drought War Tiger over, and with no way of self-righting or running inverted, it was counted out and eliminated in the first round by its own driving error.
