This is Fighting Robots aired its first and only season on Youku in Spring 2018, with a subtitled English version debuting on Mech+ on November 25 2022.[1]

Although it is officially considered a standalone show to King of Bots, both were produced by Chinese production company TheMakers. As a result, the one-off series of This is Fighting Robots was also known among robot combat communities as King of Bots 1.5 or Season 1.5, due to the presence of many returning teams from the latter show.
